Default Banbury (Bloxham) Rally 2024

I have Paul Gilbey's photoreport of last weekend's event on my site:
https://www.internationalsteam.co.uk.../ukindex24.htm

It's readily accessible form home but we had car problems again.

It was certainly warm! A couple of rollers I'd not seen before which was a bonus. Last time I saw Fowler 8889, that too was a very nice roller..

That is not Fowler 8889, regardless of the registration on the front. It is actually Fowler 9005

I've (belatedly) checked my picture gallery from 2013 when the picture I posted was taken. The notes state "incorrect registration, actually 9005". What was the reason for 9005 carrying the registration for 8889? The TER states 8889 was "reconfigured" from a roller in 2015. It's all very confusing.

It was a joke between two party's. 9005 was waiting some new parts being made, so some where borrowed off 8889 to get 9005 out that season.

Thanks. That clears that up! As we've seen here before, a photo can lie.
