Default Sewards road run etc…

Just a few photos I took.

We popped down on the Saturday before they set off for the road run. Had enough time to look around this small, but friendly event before the engines set off.

Even managed to watch a bit of cricket over the road before we left!

Hi. My son and i dropped in on Sunday just by chance, we had been to the Giuldford model engineering show, got bord and decided to go home early and saw the sign for the show and had a look. Very nice freandly show, made very welcome but where did all the miniatures go because we didnt see them only two and three fullsize, mabe we missed them. Had a good time though listening to the Liss Brass band, very good.

I went to the Sewards gathering, what a nice event with a fine selection of vehicles.
Rather a cross between an old fashioned rally and a village fete. The setting was wonderful, a 17th century pub, Saxon church and cricket on the green, how typically English. Well done.
Looking forward to next year.

Great pics - good to see steam on the road. A fine selection of engines too. Just out of interest what is the Marshall tender off in the back ground. Looks like it came off a big engine.

Sorry for the delay in replying but the tender is off of a 1897 Marshall 8nhp traction engine. It was sold to Australia originally and now has come back to the UK.

Here are some photos of steam on the road from the 2008 Sewards gathering in July.
