I was interested to read in Steaming that the SPC intends to mark it's 50th year in 2016 by attending the world ploughing championships at Crockey Hill near York , would this event be open to the public ?
I've never experienced a ploughing only event and given that York is not that far from my home I would be interested in spending a day there , especially with the aim of bringing together the selection of makers and types mentioned .

Amen to that. Two of the best ploughing engines in the country.
