Sorry to hear that Howard is no longer with us .

Some years ago at Lincoln I was given a look under this ride when it was running . Very interesting indeed . It must be a monster to build up , and it gave me a new appreciation of what travelling some rides involved . They could only have been economical in times of starvation wages for labour . An experiance not to be missed .

Are great news as we have some tokens in our van , yes it was a monster to build up up but Howard and his team made it look easy , I wonder if a steamer is going to drive it the last one to do that I think was Repulse 300 plus amps .

In normal circumstances I'd have walked on broken glass to see this, but sadly it's the
same weekend as Old Warden.

Maybe there will be another chance before too long.

Hope you all have a very good weekend and JDEng, if you P.M. me some contact details
I'd like to send a contribution to you charity.

Stef.

Just to bring this back to the top.

I know that many, like me, are sorry to be missing this opportunity due to it coinciding with
Old Warden.

But to those of you able to attend, have a great day.

Stef.

I second the previous post, I would have loved to have gone but alas the Steam Yachts are at Old Warden this weekend so I am already committed, what would it take to get this ride to Old Warden next year? Last time I rode this Moonrocket was at a Harewood House rally in 1994 and it was built up next to Shaw's ark, what a sight,

For those of you already expressing curiosity regarding the build up of this magnificent machine it is possible to see it on DVD as Dave Homer filmed it at Lincoln in 2008 and it is available as one of his "build up" series - those with a fear of heights need not apply!!

I was wondering if anybody who attended the Open Day was able to post
any pictures for us to view.

Keith Maden was kind enough to send me an image and it shows that the
Moonrockets drew a large crowd so I hope somebody can help.

Thanks, in anticipation.

Stef.
