If anyone knows where there is another D type headstock, as my friend has just brought the oldest D type roller and its got the wrong headstock

Cast Iron welding services did a lovely job with my headstock it was in two pieces they also built up the thin areas at the same time. It wasn't exactly cheap but im sure it was a lot less than getting a new one cast. I wouldn't be tempted to try welding it myself as it's is a specialist job and would end up costing more to put right afterwards than it would to get it done in the first place.
