Default The Tom Barlow Boxing Day Run 2007

On the morning of 26th December 2007, steam engines, tractors, commercials, classic cars and military vehicles arrived at the Jolly Thresher at Lymm.

At around 1.00pm the exhibits trundled a quater of a mile to The Wheatsheaf Inn and then later on to the Ye Olde No. 3.

It was a great winter steaming and was enjoyed by all.

Pictures:

The engines lined up in front of the Jolly Thresher with George Coles's 1913 built Clayton and Shuttleworth traction engine No.46059 Lucy Ashton rated at 7NHP.

Will Dakin's Davey Paxman traction engine No.16849 Little Audrey, 6NHP of 1911.

Engines and tractors at the Wheatsheaf.

Lee Fisk's 1923 Fowler roller Navigator No. 16078 at The Wheatsheaf.

Wallis & Stevens traction engine No. 2394 of 1897 - Michelle Louise owned by Nick Parker.

Little Audrey outside The Wheatsheaf.

Massey Ferguson 135 owned by Dave Gordon.

Hi

I think you have snapped a quick pic of me there too! I am the guy inspecting the engine in your 8th pic!

Great sellection of pictures though, see my pics here:- http://tractiontalkforum.com/showthread.php?t=518

I should have put them in show reports too, but just finding my way around this site.

Cheers

Dave

P.S... I think we need a thread showing pics of the members so new members like me can spot people and say hello, I find it very difficult apraching people for the first time!

On the old TT there was a thread 'Traction Talk Rouges Gallery'. I have thought of starting one up on this new site as I have some embarrasing pictures of people to post

May start one up in due course.

Sam

Do you really Chris?? I think I have about 5 suitable images of you for the gallery. You can take your pick if you wish to! Maybe we should have a vote on 'Should we create a new rouges gallery'?

Sam.
