Default Duncombe Park

Though I would add it seems its not on yet.
The rally is 4th 5th July in Helmsley. North Yorkshire. Great rally and always a good selection of engines. Anyone else goin?

Default Great Yorkshire Traction Engine Club Steam & Vintage Rally Duncombe Park

Just to confirm Duncombe Park Steam & Vintage Rally DEFINTELY going ahead on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th July at Duncombe Park, Helmsley, Nth Yorkshire.
Beautiful location on edge of North Yorkshire moors.

80+ Traction engines including Winston Churchill, General Gough and The President.
Vintage & Classic Tractors, Vintage cars, Millitary and Commercial vehicles etc etc.

I also missed last years show because of the weather and hope this year things turn out better , very good event .
Is the figure of 80+ engines made up of full size and minature ?

This is a worthwhile question. I attended a ralley that stated 60 engines, and greater than 50% (32 of 60) were minatures. This was very dissappointing. Nothing wrong with the small ones, and I admire the engineering skills that goes into making them, just that I was expecting 60 full size jobs.

Hi,
We'll be there with our Sentinel and Fowler K5. Duncombe park is always a great rally, a lovely spacious field and a brilliant setting. A good variety of exhibits and an all round good small rally.
