Default More travels with Percy

As there are not so many engines to be seen out and about, I hope a few more pictures of 'Percy' won't come amiss. He is Fowell no. 108 of 1922, belonging to Stuart Hines, the chairman of the E.A.T.E.S. They were on their way to support the Miniature Steam Weekend at Bressingham.

I found Percy outside the Royal George, while the crew were having lunch. Please note, the rubber strakes are the right way round. It's the way Fowell's fitted the originals. Unfortunately they serve to pour water over the steersman's left foot in the rain.

Taking water after lunch.

Oiling up and wiping down.

As seen from the neighbour's garden.

Turning right.

Passing South Lopham war memorial.

Near Pooley Street, in the sunshine.

Tackling a Norfolk hill.

Now downhill again.

Looks like a good place to stop.

Checking the water lifter hose.

The usual suspects.

Not much clearance in the garden.

Back onto the road.

Finally, the excuse for the trip. Percy passing Garrett no. 32936 'Felsted Belle' in the yard at Bressingham during the miniature weekend. The event was being covered by a professional photographer, so you can read - and see - all about it in one of the monthlies in due course.

To miss-quote and old radio show, "If you have been, thanks for looking". Also thanks to Stuart and Percy for another great day out.
Bill.
