Ive been trawling the web for months now looking for 40 X 8 Tyres ..I begrudge paying the stupid prices quoted by all who supply the type available in the UK . It seems as though they think anybody with a historic machine that sits on this size of tyre is a millionaire .... If I was to put new tyres on all corners I would be into 7k which doesn't help with the value of the finished vehicle .. There is a company in China who reckon they can supply Euro approved tyres called BLACKWALL . This company was found on the Alibaba link via Google ,, They have a minimum order of 100 units and are priced between 100$ - 150 $ .The company name is Qingdao Aotai Rubber Co Ltd ,and reckon 30 days delivery ..Has anybody had any thoughts of going to the far east to source these
Regards

I looked into this last year in China.

I have a company that are willing to make them but I would have to take delivery of 2 40' HiCube containers per month for a year.

I'm not sure where I would put them let alone pay for them !!! LOL

I have heard of individuals clubing together to buy a container full direct from the manufacturer in the US.

By the time they are here and all paid for inc tax VAT etc they are significantly cheaper than what they retail at.
