Default Old Warden Something a bit special!

Not many folks got the chance to see this as it was only on display briefly on Saturday afternoon. Owned by Alan Walker and built by an Eddison roller driver of the engine he used to drive. The outfit is 1" scale and superbly detailed and it was pleasure to see as well as being admired by the "Daddy of Model Engineers" Mr Ron Dawe.

Alan said to me about it and I wish I'd had a closer look now, great stuff.

Does the roller it's modelled on still survive?

Default Foden Cylinder block

Nick - I honestly don't know but have asked Alan. She wears Reg Number FX 9878 and fleet number 439 but no works plate.

Also seen at Old Warden was Joe Blacks Foden cylinder block ready for some machining after weld repairs.

Very nice set. Looks like it was scaled to fit on that shelf.

Didn't know it was there. but it's an ideal opportunity to thank John Saunders and David Roberts for getting it from GDSF to Richard Percival for me. Appreciate all your help and for going out your way for me.

I had a close look at the roller and asked Alan and the answer is unfortunately the full size version isn't with us.
