Default Bridgemere Garden World.

This event was held at the Bridgemere Garden Centre on the Staffordshire and Cheshire border on the 14th and 15th June. There was an excellent turn out of engines, better than many large rallies and, whilst it is clouding over a little now, the weather has so far been good. Basil's 6 ton roller "Ophelia" looks like a different machine now it has lost its playground colours;

It was only the second time out in new ownership for the impressive Marshall compound "Challenger";

The Albion looked interesting with its charabanc body;

And a desirable engine was the Burrell SCC "Cromwell";

Barry.

Hi

Did you go yesterday or today?

I never got there today, and some are leaving at 3ish, so not much point me going now.

Cheers

Dave

Hi

I would have liked to have seen them leave, but wasn't possible.

Cheers

Dave

Here are a few of my snaps, not up to Barry's standard, just cameraphone stuff

Cracking weekend.

At the pub on Saturday night, think there was 8 engines there.

A very smart Aveling F type.

And another equaly smart Aveling with a Tasker

Mr Gleave on his way home with the Charabanc

My view for a very pleasent trundle back to Wybunbury. Thats Basil the Steam Age pikey towing the caravan up ahead, with the aveling no less, he says its cheaper to buy the coal than to use the car!.

Wished I had have gone to Woore too, I grew up in Woore, but I had to shoot of during the afternoon all of a suden, when was told there was a Penny Farthing on ebay going silly cheap, got home, and waited for it to end, and it went expensive, thought I was in for a bargain!

I really enjoyed steering the Foden 7 ton over on Friday afternoon, I really enjoyed this weekend.

Cheers and great pictures everyone.

And here are two later pictures (and before anyone asks; Basil doesn't actually have a low loader attached to his caravan!).

Blimey Brian, the paint on the chimney hasn't lasted for long!
