BSS do nice ones new , and cheap too , but don't accept one with too fine a mesh filter . If BSS kick up about a change of mesh , you can get a similar mesh which will fit the BSS in line filter from Power and Motion of Daventry , for a fraction 9( ? £3 )of what BSS will want to change it ( about £20 ). Too fine a mesh means that the thing will not feed the injector with less than about a half tank of water , because the effective head of water will not overcome the surface tension of the mesh .
I have one new BSS pattern here on my desk if you want to give me a ring on 01327 - 87 77 86 .

The one which I have has a stainless mesh cylinder which is easily removable for cleaning via a plug without any dismantling of pipework . My old BSS catalogue lists it's equivalent as a bronze Y type strainer , product code 23010615 , which you can probably find in their catalogue on line . Mine is branded TFP , which you can probably find by Googling , and incorporates an additional hex drain plug . The mesh which is too fine and which I replaced is a 20 mesh .
