Did you notice any wheel tracks on the verge? It looks pretty much like the point we were undertaken by a 4x4 pick up last Monday evening when coming back from Laughton on Hairy Monsters Aveling. Shame there weren't any big holes hidden in the grass as he was going a fair speed.

I didnt see any tracks. Car drivers are getting worse and worse, we didnt have any as impatient as your 4x4 driver but many gambled to overtake us. On monday morning as we were leaving the site when we met Hairy Monster Aveling just before Buxted on the A272, which was stopped, and as we went by we noticed that two cars had gone head on into each other and looked as like one of them would be written off, im not sure if this was because of the Roller, your have to ask Hairy Monster himself. Car drivers just need to learn to just wait and overtake when it safe.

The car crash on Monday was nothing to do with me! We did assist the car driver to move her car out of the road and No we didn't push it with the Roller.

It is 12 NHP S Class , single cylinder, piston valve, Marshall works no 89345 of 1942, sent to agents Thomas Smith & Sons, it drove 2 racksaw benches at The Round Timber Supply Co Ltd, Cross-in-Hands, East Sussex, from where Claude Jessett purchased the engine in 1968 for £30.

The above came from an info board on the fence by the engine, during an open day in 9/2007
