Default Goldsmith May 2014

A wet and cold Rally this time around but still fun for those who attended.
I had my Cliff and Bunting there for the first time but didn't do a lot of distance cause it isn't much fun driving through mud.
Had a good go at some belt work with my new generator set up which kept the old girl busy for a couple of hours before it started to rain IN the shed from the condensate on the underside of the roof.
Not many pics but a few to give you the flavour of the weekend.
Enjoy.

Spotted this little gem having a play during one of the dry spells.

Nice portable having a run in one of the big sheds.

In the same shed this rather rare machine.

A few tractions braved the elements but the Grand Parade was pretty short on both days.

This interesting roller demonstrates the problems of a wet weekend. She was stuck fast.

This portable was running well but she was big enough for the crew to shelter under when it rained.

This is an old friend of mine visiting for the weekend. Still looking good.

I was sheltering next to this portable during a downpour so took some pictures of it.
How would you like to have to find a new water pump.

Last my little machine on belt duty.
Sounded great but past a certain point the fireman had to get stuck in.
Amazing how fast they can use water and coal when you start to push them.

Some interesting pics. It's great to see those engines restored with their correct 'colonial' fittings.
