I think this show took place at the tractor museum in the humourously-named Windpassing (see http://www.traktorenmuseum-windpassing.at/index.htm). Here is the information I have on some of the engines.
HSCS TE/self-moving PE #58768 of 1927. The rear wheels have the MAVAG name on them though, so perhaps they provided conversion kits for various portables to make them self-moving? Brünn Königsfelder RR #1262 of 1916. Umrath PE #1702. MAVAG PE. |

Agreed there. What's the handle sticking forward at the base of the chimney for then? I see the worm drive and cog which seem to have a wire which runs up the front of the chimney. What's this in aid of?
An engine like this would be a worthwhile and interesting new build I think. Joe Ignore that. Just figured it out. Being a bit thick there. |

That's what I thought, but why would you need one on the back of the chimney as well? Surely you'd only need one on the front and put the chimney slightly off vertical so that it would naturally fall backwards.
Niels idea seems to make a bit more sense to me. |
