Default Elvaston Castle Steam Rally 2011

I just come back from Elvaston Castle Steam and it turned out to be a pleasant day with a nice selection of Engines. Here are a few of the images I've taken at this years event, I hope you enjoy them!

Many more photos from this years event can be found here

For no reason I thought I'd chuck these up too that way I think I've got all the engines that where on display today!

Really enjoyed elvaston yesterday. Good weather, some familiar faces and some different engines. A lovely olds mobile steam car was a new edition too. Proper rally, well done.

Great photos too, very well done.

It was one of Beyer Peacock's works vehicles. It was a tipper. Fleet No2

Beyer Peacock did make steam wagons, seemingly they themselves can't have thought much about them!

Good weekend. Some nice outfits there including Phil Jeffs' complete with Eagle trailer.

Cliff Rodgers grandson Henri made is debut on the roller.

Also there was this interesting Clayton & Shuttleworth sawbench.

Landy Lawley was also making the sawdust fly

And Johnson's had a new apprentice driver in he form of David Hitchin

One other steam vehicle was this replica steam car

One other vintage exhibit celebrating its 50th year was this bike. My dad bought it new for Cliff Rodgers to deliver meat from the shop. Done a few miles on it myself. Unfortunately didn't get a photo of Cliff demonstrating the bike so Mike Hartley will have to do.
