What is the history of Fowler 7871 - is that 'CC' registration not Caernarfonshire???? Then Antrim sign writing..... Hedd???

I have never seen a detailed history for the engine either, interested to know more. Did it go to Ireland new? I understand it was used as a showmans engine for part of it's life, there was mention on here of it being restored as a showmans engine. It is listed in the fairground heritage trust list as having showland owners but they don't say with which family. I didn't see anybody around the engine at Pickering to ask.

Here is a picture of the engine I have found as it was sold at the auction, I believe it was originally posted on TT but since disappeared. Interesting to note what little they started with:

only history I have is to a Mr Bradley in 2008 in Eire, I to have it listed as a showmans road loco.

I may be wrong but I think you will find Crankshaft flywheel and most of the motion along with brass boiler fittings came from my shed !

From emory either Simons or Teago, as noted Caernarvonshire as was.

Whatever, I think they've done a cracking job. And ,as said above , if she was a showmans at some point in her working life, then its down to the owner as to what he restores her as.
