Dave,
How about completing a Savage "Little Samson" which is a new build running on air waiting for a tender, pipework and cladding to complete. All parts are present and the engine would be unique when done.
See www.berrybrooksteam for more details.

What is out there?
It has to be uk based or have an export licence.
It does not have to be rare, anything considered..............something that no one in their right mind would take on!!
Origins must be known and significant part(s) available.
Please don't tell me you have a front roll for an aveling roller or send me on a wild goose chase to something not for sale!
Open to sensible suggestions/ offers.
Please P.M me.
Dave Eves.
Someone else has already suggested a big Allchin!

There is one a few miles from your house which is ex Austrlia, came back about 30 years ago I think now and hasn't done anything as its suffering from a cracked block I believe. The work I would believe would be right up your street mate!

There is one in steam in North Wales that we got running and displayed at GDSF 3? years ago.

The Australian Allchin RLs were only 2 speed. That one for sale ex Australia (illegally exported) certainly is a basket case.

We seemed to get plenty of 2 speed haulage engines. Rough roads perhaps.

Batho roller would be good, or how about a Crompton Road Steamer? Tony Brown has probably got enough details

Dave, I know you are a 'doer', to say the least. However, don't you think you have earnt a rest and should sit back, preferably on the hot footplate of Onward, and reflect on your massive achievement, one that most of us mere mortals can only wonder at! A brand new B6 Superlion built in a shed in the garden - no disrespect to your 'shed/workshop'.

Cheers Carl.

A pair of original Fowler Motor Ploughing Engines if they can be bought would be a first on the rally scene.
