Default Weeting 2024

Once again, circumstances conspired to make me enjoy the Weeting event in 'virtual mode'.

However, Paul Gilbey has sent me a set of pictures and it seems to have been a 'classic'.

We are now on the verge of Welland 2024 and from the constant chopping and changing of the weather forecast this week I can safely say that whoever supervises the computer that generates it is overpaid. However, it does seem likely to be drier than most and like last year the grass should be green and not the traditional yellow/brown.

I have a lot of photos from Weeting which I transferred to a hard disk- which then died. Now contemplating £375 for disk recovery…

Personally I’d spend the £375 on making my steam lorry work.

Does it go along the lines of ‘old piece of plant machinery needs more repair than thought’?

If so, we all know that. But think how good it’ll be when you’re whizzing along on it.

Hope to be back next year - unfortunately mum became ill on Friday so I had to keep an eye on her. I always enjoy attending Weeting, anyway
