Quite a rare beast these days. A useful little borer, obviously limited to sizes you can work on but they were well made and had good functionality.

Try Phil Geesin: http://www.engineering-machinery.co.uk/STKPAGE.HTM

A nice little machine but I don't think many were made, hence the rarity.

A great machine as others have commented. And very versatile. I would only add if you can get one with a tailstock (even rarer) worth looking out for.

I do have some spare collets and holders if you get stuck (once you have got a machine!)

Whilst I don't know what you are talking about, my dad worked for Kearns in Atlantic Street Broadheath south of Manchester for thirty three years before retiring as an inspector, although there was a place in the factory for me when I left school in 1962 I chose to take an aprenticeship in the building trade. It was just nice to see the name "Kearns" which played such an important part in my younger life. Good luck in your search

I looked at one about 20 years ago down at G & M tools, I thought the tailstock was the weak feature, looked like a poorly designed add on which did not look up to the job, though when I dealing with our machining subcontractors Kearns machines were well thought of, though all the ones I saw were larger and had a decent rigid cast tailstock.
