Thumbs up Little Casterton Working Event

Popped over Sunday for the first time, lots of rare and unusual tractors hard at work along with some steam. A nice treat was the Lancaster flying over the ploughers on Sunday afternoon, apparently the Hurricane and Spitfire followed afterwards.

Usually clashes with your event Mark. Always a good display though, used to do Old Warden and here in one trip before we started to exhibit at Old Warden. Arthur Hinch has been collecting steam and tractors for a long time now.... Ransomes and Caterpillar being his favourites I think..

I cant make it out for sure i had a Ransomes like this one but it was more Ruston than Ransomes.Even the buid sheet said HYBRID on the top !

The later Rustons and Ransomes portables were very very similar, and even used the same sales literature, and just changed the name written on the engines - sometimes. I've seen a Ransomes sales brochure, but the engine in the picture says Ruston on the barrel...
