Default Ploughing Engine

A quote from the rally programme:

Ottermeyer 310BHP ploughing engine, “Zeven”. Built 1958.
One of the last and most powerful steam ploughing engines ever built, it was specially constructed to draw an enormous plough, aptly named "Mammoth", which created a furrow 9ft deep and 8ft wide for reclaiming large areas of peat moorland in central Germany.

Smashing rally at Preston, a bit like the old fashioned ones. The mix of exhibits was just right with a few fresh engines to see.

Good to catch up with so many friends for a chat.

A big well done to the organisers, looking forward to next years show.
