My first dose of 'public' steam for 2018, thanks to the Long Shop Museum in Leiston.
Three Garrett engines went for a trundle round the town.
The Museum's unique 'Suffolk Punch' tractor of 1919. A belated attempt to compete with I/C engined tractors. Officially named 'The Joker', but I prefer the colloquial 'Old Coming as it Went'.
It really needs a two man crew. Look where the regulator is and think about using it whilst steering!
Leafy Leiston
Safely back.
The visiting 4CD tractor number 33305 in Showman's form, 'The Mighty Atom'.
Heavy traffic in Leiston High Street.
The Museum's 1923 roller number 34265, 'Consuelo Allen'.
Returning through the Richard Garrett gates.
Incidentally, excellent tea and cake for only £2.
Bill.
