Did flywheel brakes tend to be faced with leather or something? I have one that I've not yet re-fitted to my fowler and the wood block has had something pinned to it. In the working day photos you can see it had a lot of use as the flywheel rim is well polished.
Interestingly mine is a Leeds company (cant remember the name) fitted to a Fowler engine so a bought in piece, that's if it was fitted from new. |

beware of those telling you to beware.
I use mine a lot, the flywheel doesnt get hot (and it hasnt burst), nor does the main bearing get hot. Its a fab thing if you intend to road your engine. Put some oil tolerant ferrodo on it to make it even more effective.

Sorry Chris. Didnt realise it was you asking.
I bought the one previously fitted to the Pink Panther from Messrs Bradbury. I sold it to Nick Allen after deciding it was too big for my Fowler. Nick is on here. May well tell you where it went
