David

John was hoping to have all his engines in steam at Dorset (for the first time?) but I gather the paint on Progress only dried on Monday and given the conditions she was left at Hatch's.

John O Gaunt looked cracking!

Due to the weather conditions it was decided not to bring progress as the same was decided for the lion a wise move at the time the decision was made.

Thanks for those David. As you say a great show as usual and the weather did not seem to deter many people.

Good to meet you and have a chat on Thursday evening.

Hi David, can I just say your photos are truly fantastic, I wish I had the time and patience you have. Just a quick question I see from your location that it now says Cornwall does that mean you have now moved to the land of engines, sun and sea along with great people. Once again thanks for sharing your great photos. Regards Chris.

Don't think Kitchener ventured into the playpen this year so I only got this one very average picture of her this year:

Hi Chris, yes moved down to Cornwall in July, not far from you. My events in the future will have more of a South Western bias I think!

And another pic of Pride of the Wight that I found:
