Andy, I assume the guages on Gough are totally accurate, took us by complete surprise when the drum started spinning n the floor dropped that the needle shot to 300 amp! Really didn't think it was that demanding on start up though it made the belt squeal a bit!

yeah there accurate i know i didnt think it would have been that much, the belt squeeled more on the rotor than it did on the big wheel!

i was very proud of my Goughs performance though

Great weekend!

Cheers,

Andy.

Grin Lincolnshire Steam & Vintage Rally

As a member of the organising committee it is gratifying to see such positve comments. I will pass these on at our next meeting. It makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Thanks to all who supported the event.

According to posts at the fun-fairs.co.uk forum, there is a tender sale closing tomorrow (26th Aug) after which the new owner will be known (presumably). I guess it depends if the new owner(s) are going to travel it.

I wouldn't like to travel it alot if I bought it! Shame Howard is selling, but hope it goes to a good home where it'll be looked after.

This years Lincoln had to be the best and biggest so far that i've been to & I think i've been going for the last 10 years or so now!

Best of luck for next years show, looking forward to it already!

It does look like a lot of work doesn't it!

Last time I rode it was at Newcastle Town Moor in 19 hundred and frozen to death.

I must say that the rally rejuvenated my interest in rallies. A really good event.
