What a superb selection of engines, such a shame the weather has been so unkind.

Congratulations to the organisers for putting on such a great show and for the exhibitors who despite the crap weather kept the public entertained.
Lets hope tomorrow is better.

It was a teriffic event. Thankfully I went on Friday, having kept a VERY close eye on weather reports for several days. A dozen engines on site that had not passed in front of my lens before, so a great day was had. Plenty of other interest as well as the engines, and loads of action. Thanks to the organisers for all their efforts.

What a difference the sun makes!

My sister-in-law has a lot to answer for after choosing Friday as her wedding day...

Just got back from attending on Sunday, weather really good, it's a shame you had the bad weather on Saturday. My first visit to the show, a real pleasure, good to see 4 portables on show most I've seen together at a rally this year, my sincere thanks to the committee and all those exhibiting for putting on one excellent show. Now for the pleasure of sorting out some 200 photos. Pete

Not to forget the two superb steam cars that attended

BS 9540 Model 70 Stanley #5095 of 1910.

BF 4876 Model 72 Stanley #6120 of 1911.

All in all an excellent event, by far the best this year. Does anyone know why 'Oriana' UW 1329 carries a works plate #12956 instead of it's correct identity #17287?. The engine crew were looking after it for the owner, so were not sure as to why.

Sorry that it was wet when some people came to the rally on Saturday, but to put the record straight the weather was not all crap - Friday and Sunday were great , and for those of us who were there all weekend, Saturday evening was dry too - great run to the pub.... As I have written elsewhere, massive thanks and all credit to Matt and Rachel, and to all the engine crews and owners who kept the arena full even in driving rain on Saturday. It also kept the commentator on his toes, and very wet!!
