How many Garrett 4CD's are preserved?

Dave Harding reckoned for a days work they were the best of the best as far as steam tractors were concerned.

They were indeed a good tractor - being that bit bigger than other makers tractors.
They weren't the fastest things though. Certainly wouldn't keep up with a three speed tractor, or even an Aveling GND or KND for instance.

They don't keep up with our Mc Laren but that's not the point I'm making.

The present owner bought the engine in 2007 if memory serves correct

Great pictures Arthur, first time I had been to Hexham for a number of years and it seems an improved show. Foster Victorious sounded superb generating on the Sunday morning, I took a couple of videos which I will see if I can upload
