Thumbs up Whipsnade Miniature Road Run

This coming sunday(16th November) a small group of Herts Steam Club members are having a short road run for miniature engines from Whipsnade Zoo outside car park to the Old Hunters Lodge public house(approx 1 mile). We should be on the road around 11am ish, some nice hills for the engines to climb in both directions at present we have 6 engines, if anyone local wishes to join us please PM me for info and of course all spectators are more than welcome. As the car park is shut to public, the gates will only be opened for engines etc. Lets hope the weather stays fine.

Kev

Pity madeline cannot make it, but will be nice to see you tim, I have painted the bowser, the tank needs rubbing back for a few more coats yet but will do for this weekend.

Finally finished getting ready for tomorrow. Got the Allchin out and filled the tender to find a leak by the gear cover. when i took the top off the tender i found the nut missing from the gear cover bracket, fixed this and got the bowser out to find i had a puncher so i have had the wheel off and the inner tube out, the morning will tell if this is fixed as well.

see you in the morning.

P.S. is Emma taking the pictures?
