Default Steam in the Park 2010 - Balado, Kinross


The Scottish Traction Engine Society annual May rally ‘Steam in the Park’ will be held on
May 8th & 9th at Balado Park, Kinross

Directions to the rally site can be downloaded here

Approximately 20 full size steam and 20 miniature steam exhibits will be attending along with commercials, tractors, stationary engines, cars, motor cycles, pedal cycles, organs, model displays and trade stands.

Events include:

Raffle of Watercolour painting on Saturday night
Drive a Steam Engine hour – public footplate experience, both days
Miniature railway operating both days
Various fairground rides
Chainsaw carver on Sunday
Working sawbench both days
Model aeroplane flying displays
A Road Run of Steam Wag(g)ons will leave the showground at approx 4pm on the Saturday

It was a great weekend. plenty to do and see. and the weather was good. I had 3 big stainonary engines there. 2 fordson majors. the rack sawbench. the fowler and the half size foden wagon. just getting my voice back after all that talking. lol.
