1913 Eagle Engineering Traction Wagon

We have decided to sell our partly restored Eagle Engineering Ltd (Warwick) Traction Wagon.

I already have a similar sized 1920's Carrimore, and a smaller 1950's trailer for use behind the Marshall and I am in danger of being able to set myself up in buisiness in trailer hire.

The wagon is Works No 5, and thus believed to be 1913. From our research we believe it was likely built to a War Office spec for a steel framed trailer. Given its size it would have required something big to tow it, and as is well known the War Department had a sizable fleet of Fowler road engines.

I guess it is also likely to be the earliest Eagle trailer about. 15 foot long, about 6 and a bit foot wide (I think)

We have 4 new rubbers to accompany the trailer (but not fitted), and I have a little more work that I will do to the king pin bearing (some spacers) before it goes.

Much new steelwork, rear wheel bushes, brake cams etc etc. Its just about ready for paint and bodybuilding.

It has rear wheel brakes, but currently no levers or linkage, now is the time to fit hydraulics or steam brakes or whatever you fancy.

Tows lovely, I shall be doing best part of 30 miles with it tomorrow evening.
