Default St. Albans Steam and Country Show June 1st and 2nd

St. Albans reverberated to the sound of steam road engines today as the advance guard made their way to Oaklands in Hatfield Road. The site looks great and we look forward to welcoming 30 engines plus all the other attractions over the weekend of June 1st and 2nd.

Default St. Albans Steam and Country Show June 1st and 2nd

After an excellent start to setting up the site last Monday, there has been rain in the area during the week but hardcore has been put down to keep the field gateways available. More engines arrived today and the field is filling up rapidly with exhibits. The weather forecast for tomorrow and the weekend remains dry and warm so we are looking forward to an excellent rally. Come and join us. Sandy Ross, Secretary, Herts Steam Club Ltd

engine and tractor all loaded ready for this afternoon trip round the m25, unforunatly after my breakdown on the foster last weekend i have run out of time to wire in the new trailer lighting system so i wont be roading the tractor over this year and it will be going on a trailer, on the second time it has been on a trailer in 9 years of owning it.

And Tim is too shy to tell us that his magnificent Burrell 4" scale Showmans Scenic Road Locomotive is there.

A super first day for the rally, the weather has sorted itself out, lots to see and do. Sandy Ross
