4 Day Steam Engine Road Run

Just to let people know there is a 4 day steam engine road run taking place from tomorrow, 25th July to Saturday 28th July. It is starting tomorrow morning from Castwellan, Co. Down taking in the coastal towns of Newcastle, Ballymartin, Kilkeel, Cranfield and Warrenpoint.

Day 2 goes through Omeath, Co. Louth, Carlingford and stopping at Cooley Hall on Thursday Night (Members may remember Cooley as the location of the world record tractor event in 2007).

Day 3 goes on through Ravensdale, Dundalk and stopping at Monasterboice near Drogheda

Day 4 continues on the old Dublin/Belfast road through Drogheda continuing on to Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.

The run will average 25 - 30 miles per day.

I appreciate that a lot of the above places will mean little to many but if anyone is in those areas it may be worth viewing. There are around 6 engines booked to do it and it is in aid of TINY LIFE - a northern ireland baby charity.

It all kicks off tonight with a Family Fun Night in Castlewellan, Co. Down.
