I made it along to see a few hours of the road run, absolutely superb. Mine Ex your roller looked and sounded great and single-manning it was a nice touch.

Yes great weekend. Thanks and congratulations to the organisers and helpers.

Was most impressed with Mine Ex single manning. Missed out photographing him except this shot from our trailer. Unfortunately a shakey trailer and telephoto lens do not make a good combination for sharp photos

Must admit from where I'm standing all I can ever hear is the growl of gears!

...and the bloomin' hiss of the drain cocks! Grrr
A winter job me'thinks, as they need serious attention - not just a little lapping to get them steam tight again!

The last couple of years steaming it out on the road I've virtually always single-manned - I think the furthest has been just under 30 miles. For various reasons I tend to prefer doing it that way on the roller.

Now if only I could work out why the blessed thing refuses to keep pressure above about 60 or 70psi I could be a happy bunny again - steaming performance never used to be a problem! ...perhaps I've lost my touch after 2 years off the road with it?! Lol.

I trust they would have been postive and encouraging comments After all Sprig did receive the cup for 'Best Working Engine' or something like that.

Being in the working area I didn't get to see much of the rally unfortunately. Did have a wander across to play pen and engines Sunday evening

Not suprised after the thieving lot round that area swiped the poor chap's canopy whilst he was looking the other way!
