Default Henham Rally in liquidation

Just seen this in the local paper;

https://www.becclesandbungayjournal....zZtm8xpHJ04UIU

I know no more than this - and it wasn't even related to the corona virus.
Must be making a lot of rally organisers "consider their position".
What does Mr Pittock gain by forcing this?
With sadness,
Bill.

I don't "Do" Face-ache but the wife tells me that someone from the rally posted that the rally will continue and "See you all next year" soon after this was announced, no idea if this was just a flippant remark or the rally will return. I guess like so many businesses do, go bankrupt and start up with the wife as the MD etc. I hope it does continue they have donated large sums to charity over the years, and we thoroughly enjoyed our attendance last year.

I would be wary of commenting without knowing the facts.

Why was this not in the hands of the insurers?

Looks like the local paper only got part of the story. See the rally facebook page:

https://www.facebook.com/henhamrally/

Hope everything will be clarified in due course and 'we'll meet again' at Henham next year.
Bill.

I can confirm from a very good source that the rally WILL go ahead next year. It is organised by a different company to that mentioned in the post.

As rightly said by Adam we shouldn't comment without knowing all the facts, however I have spoken to Duncan in the past and I know some of the facts! I hope Duncan did get some of what the rally owned him especially as looking at the rallys Facebook page they gave £60k away! I was all ways taught to pay my bill/what I owed!

A sort of justice. I don't suppose he expected much more.
