Default Out and about in the Midlands

A few photo’s from today,

This morning we Roaded Burrell 2547 ‘Endurance’ around 14 miles to Walsall town show. It is a very good family show with lots of fairground rides and displays. It was the first time Pat Collins fair had got there recently acquired gallopers out.

This evening we roaded Fowler 17212 back home that had been at a steam party today in Hednesford along with Foster ‘Admiral Beatty’. Distance of around 16 miles over Cannock Chase.

Walsall show is also on tomorrow and Endurance will be leaving for home around 5pm. Come and say hello if anyone is in the area.

i always admire 17212 on the rare chances i have to see her, just one of those engines which can't be mistaken and looks beautifully proportioned at every angle, love it.

can you say if 17212 or 2547 will be attending Bedford this year Tom?

regards sam

Hi Sam,

I'm afraid the engines won't be going to Bedford this year. The Fowler is going to Shrewsbury steam rally then down to Dorset. Then both are doing a few local shows in October. Maybe see you down at Dorset if your going?

How things change,

The start;

A little bit easier;

One tractor unit, left unmanned all day and provides power for Waltzer, Dodgems and the ride in the picture;

But I still know which one I'd choose

Thanks,

Tom

Nice pictures Tom, well done. Sure Len would be very happy if he knew what you and Robert were up to.
Keep it going.
Sam.
