St. Albans Steam and Country Show

It is risky moving an annual rally 20 miles from an established site, but the move from Leighton Buzzard to the Oaklands site at St. Albans worked well for the annual Herts Steam Engine Preservation Society Rally. Steve Ward (YA1177), Andy Harvey and team did a great job on the new site, and problems resulting from the relocation into a new area were remarkably few. Exhibitors were complimentary on the attractive tree lined site - and the unbroken sunshine made up for the years of torrential rain that the rally has had to suffer. From this fresh start the Society will continue to flourish!
