Default GDSF 2013 Photos

Afternoon all,
I know I've already posted some photos from GDSF 2013 already (Mugshots!), but - late as it is - I thought I would share with you some of the other photos I took at the show this year that might interest you lot. I tend to have an eye for things that other folks might not shoot too. Enjoy!

This was when the helicopter landed in the Playpen. Glad I wasn't there!

Great set of photos and as JR comments about his own situation in the commentary box, I did not have much chance to get around either as I was on the yachts most of the time so seeing all these photos shows how much we miss if we are involved somehow. However the time I did get off was to go and have a drive of Lord Roberts courtesy of Alan Mitchell, the owner and this is what happened.

I was up on the engine with Josh, one of the crew, when the helicopter came in behind us and this is the result - taken by my daughter Danielle before she covered the camera to protect it. Josh and I ducked down between the horn plates to avoid the worst of the sand storm. It looked like a scene from the movie The Mummy when they heroes are being chased by a sand storm.

This is by far my favourite photo I took at GDSF this year. Like the others above, this was taken at the Playpen as the sun was setting.

Thanks Karen

Brought back happy memories of years past when I used to stay on site from Sunday till Monday following, when it was fun watching everything arriving.

Thanks again

Arthur

It's always fun watching stuff arriving that the show, Arthur! My boyfriend and I arrive (as visitors) on Monday and we can spend several hours just standing at the crossroads at the back of Admin watching stuff coming in. They really need a mini-grandstand there for the spotters like us haha.

delighted you like my photos. There's a few more to come yet.
