Default Charles Burrell Museum Closing event 29th October 2022

Hello All, as usual the Charles Burrell Museum will be holding its Autumn closing event on the 29th October from 10am onwards, all are welcome why not bring a model or full size along for one of the easts last events of the year. Some of the miniatures will doubtless have a trundle up to the pub for a "Coke". Don't worry the museum will open again in the spring! Hope to see you there!

Cheers Chris Hazel.

Not wanting to be a killjoy but even when it is open, it is closed most of the time! Are there any plans in the future to extend the rather limited opening hours in the open season? My daughter lives not far from the museum and we have been up to visit twice in recent months for two or three days at a time and on both occasions we could not coincide the visits with days the museum is actually open.

Paul.

Hello Paul, to be honest I am not really connected with the Museum I am just friends with someone who is! And they ask me to put a bit on TT twice a year for the opening and closing events! I can understand your frustration, but its a venue that's staffed purely on a voluntary basis and I know it can be hard to find bodies willing to open up and man the place. You could of course come up in a couple of weeks time and will definitely be open with miniatures and full size in attendance!

Hope to see you there! I am the guy with the little Blue Engine called "Scallywag" if you fancy a chat!

Cheers Chris Hazel.

Chris,

Would love too if I had an engine in ticket or finished lol. Maybe next year.

All the best,

Paul.
