Old Glory - Carters Steam Fair picture.

I know that not everyone on here bothers with the steam mags.

I also understand that many do not share my interest in vintage fairgrounds.

However, the picture of Carters Steam Fair on Pinkneys Green in this months Old Glory, pages 54 and 55, must be one of the most atmospheric that they've ever published.

We went to Pinkneys Green three years ago when Carters celebrated their 30th; among the engines generating were Burrell Scenic 'Dolphin' and Fowler Super Lion 'The Lion'.

Never have I put a tank of diesel to such good use.

If that photograph had been taken in black and white on a nice grainy 120 size negative you would have thought that you were in the 1950's! A truly brilliant photograph!
