Default Stafford Show

Paid a very quick visit to this show on Sunday, so quick I didn't have time to buy a program so you'll have to guess the details of the engines!

Whats the reason behind having the showmans cordoned off in the arena? It would have been nice to talk to the crew of Lord Lascelles because I'm not sure how the salt bath works (Lascelles seemed to be working hard) but you couldn't get near.

We had Lascelles in the arena to show every one how it worked, the idea was for us to give you all information over the mic, but someone else ran off with it! Dont worry, that wont be that last of the demonstrations, We will be taking it to Cheshire Steam Fair at Tabley House Knutsford in a few weeks time.

I remember seeing you on the salt bath at Dorset 2000, awesome! How many amps did you take it up to this time? Is LL going to Hollowell, as I know AW has been over the past few years?

We only took it to about 340amps, enough to show the public what it will do, we have had it a little over that recently though!

Ime afraid we arnt going to Hollowell with it this year, maby next.

Hey, looks like I missed Lord Lascelles on the salt bath both at Tabley and at Shugborough, hey ho, will have to look out for it again. I've heard of them as a way to test out a showman's engine, but have no idea how they work! If anyone cares to explain, then I will gladly listen

Have some photographs of Shugborough if anyone is interested:

If you wish to correct any of my (mis)information, please feel free to let me know, likewise if you have anything you think i;ve missed or recognise yourself )
