ROAD RUN CANCELLATION

It is with a heavy heart that i have to write to you to notify you that we have decided to cancel the Route 66 Road Run.

We have listened and taken advice from the Norfolk Fire Service who have cautioned us greatly about not running this event due to the lengthy dry spell, continued heat wave and current tinder dry condition of Thetford Forest, which as you are aware is the longest part of day 1. Norfolk Fire Service are currently already experiencing high numbers of fires within the forest, and we wouldn’t want to add to their workload. It wouldn’t do the traction engine movement or the EATES any good whatsoever.

We apologise for this last minute decision, and we hope it won’t affect your enjoyment of Weeting Rally, which this year promises to be exceptional.
