Default Steam Plough Club AGM - 15 April 2012

A good day was had by all at the Steam Plough Club AGM yesterday and the visit before to Mr Snelgar's yard.



Some pictures of the assembled engines of which there were plenty.


Marshall 78953:




The Wilder Ploughing Engine:




Brian had the assemble parts of his Fowler B4 on display, 7786 "Alfred":




And a miniature B4 which has been built using measurements from 7786:




Aveling & Porter D-Type, 12172, "The Duck":




Aveling & Porter Convertible Traction Engine 5800:




Aveling & Porter Road Roller, 7771:




The assembled parts of Fowler BB1 Ploughing Engine, 15207, which is currently undergoing boilerwork and restoration:

You have Aveling & Porter 2602, my understanding it was 7024 'Baroness', or at least the boiler on the right is.

Hi david great pics wish I could have come but was at the sale hopfully all sorted for a week on fri getting excited now god help the road users in the Hinckley area

Some of the parts of Aveling & Porter 2603 ( not 2602 ) are in Brian's yard although clearly ' below the radar' and missed by the camera!

Too right! We drove back through Salisbury and I was thinking normally when I drive up this road I am looking forward to a long hot bath.

I took 300+ pics in all so I may have got them somewhere! There was an amazing amount of kit in Brian's yard, it was a real treat.
