Unipower trim

Non steam related but I thought it was worth trying here. Restoration of our Unipower timber tractor is nearing completion and we are after some aluminium trim the same as in this photo. We have enough of the original for the cab but it also has some on the boxes on the back, this is what we are missing. Anyone seen anything like this?, I have been to a few commercial vintage shows to see if it's on any other old lorries without any joy. Also need the Unipower badge for the radiator

Hi Edward, if you have any luck finding any i could do with a bit more for mine too. I have never seen that profile on anything else though so I fear it might have been a special for Unipower. I will let you know if i find a source, Simon.

It looks like a standard Aluminium extrusion, I don't think that it would be exclusive to Unipower.

Try looking at Buses and Coaches the same age as the Unipower.

Other wise, it could be Milled using a single blade filed to shape from Gauge plate.

I have made something similar.

A n old friend of mine who is sadly no longer with us used to have a vintage Albion and he had a stack of Vintage Commercial magazines that I used to have a look through and I'm sure I have seen some trimmings advertised in there !.
