3" Burrell traction engine built to H.R Plastows design. Two-speed 6nhp agricultural traction engine, single cylinder with slide valve and Stephenson's reversing gear, pole reverser on footplate. Cylinder fitted with Foster mechanical lubricator, draincocks, whistle, governors and blower valve. Silver-soldered copper boiler by C. R . Bushell, working pressure 100psi, feed by crankshaft water pump and injector. The engine has the usual fittings including pressure gauge, water gauge and safety valves. The engine has a differential and winch with fairleads mounted on the tender. A Blow down valve is fitted at the bottom of the boiler.
The engine has the original boiler paperwork from C.R Bushell, who built the boiler, stating the initial 200psi hydraulic test. The engine comes with a new hydraulic test certificate and is valid until May 2012. The engine also has a new steam test certificate valid until May 2009. Both certificates are issued by the Model Steam Road Vehicle Society who are Southern Federation Members. Working pressure 100psi.
