Grin St. Buryan Rally 2015

We took Burrell roller 4040 to St. Buryan rally for the first time this year, had a nice trip down which i posted the video of the other day, some 25 or so miles. It was a very friendly, relaxing rally helped by the lovely weather on the Saturday. 8 full size engines were in attendance along with 2 portables and 2 miniatures.

Onto the photos, as said, Saturday had excellent weather, with rain coming in later in the evening carrying on through the night and into the morning before clearing up and going sunny for a few hours. You can tell from the pictures when the ones from Sunday start due to the mud and lack of activity.

The personal highlight of the event for me was being allowed back on our engine, Burrell 4040. As some may know i had some major surgery on my head at Easter last year after an accident so going on engines has been a no-go until now. Was certainly a great feeling being able to drive the engine around again!

Final photo is of me and a friend heading towards the ring, my first time back on it and his first time on a full size.

Cheers, Josh.
