Default Lincolnshire Steam & Vintage Rally 2022

Sadly numbers were down at this years rally with 68 full size steam engines. Entries to other sections also looked to be down on the 2019 Rally. however the number of visitors on Saturday looked to be high which shows demand for such events still exists. I have included a picture of 3 Brown and May Steam engines a very unusual occurrence at any rally.

Works numbers can be found in the attached picture album as usual .

Considering the problems in 2019 and the apprehension that it caused among some of the traders and exhibitors. As far as we were concerned down in the miniatures it was a great weekend and I hope we are good for next year.

The number of miniatures at the rally looked to be very good the parade in the main ring looked most impressive. I to hope the rally is back on the calendar for next year with more exhibits for all sections.

What problems, if you don't mind me asking? Something like what happened at Pickering years ago?

From what I understand of Pickering, yes. They ruined the weekend.

Such a shame, though. Would've loved to have visited Pickering Rally at least once before it went - used to look at the photos on Steam Scenes. Limited money because of being unemployed, during the time. Ah well, as least the Olivers (Michael and Martin) didn't let things get to their heads although Michael did take well documented risks to keep the show going
