3 inch traction engine

Hi all,

Am on the look out for a 3 inch scale traction engine must be complete and in fair order. Boiler history etc is preferable but will consider a bit of a project engine as long as it has run; just requiring recommissioning.

Ideally looking for either a 3 inch burrell or maxitrak aveling due to the handy size for transportation, am located in Kent but willing to travel for the right engine.

Hi Elliot, View models. com steam dealer has a 3 inch burrell , which looked reasonable, and says a full cert issued on sale. He also has a decrepit 2 inch burrell which I would give a miss! Antique steam.com has a nice 4 inch r and p which looks a new build in his web site. Depends on budget and your needs.

My mate currently has the antique steam R&P in for work. It’s a winsons kit and still in the process but not really what im after. Have contacted view models already to a certain degree. Seeing what else is out there for now.
