I think it was the finest year yet for the variety of engines, at least 5 that I have never seen before and several more that don't see the rally field that often.

Had a fantastic weekend! Thanks Matt and co, for putting on a great show! Weather wasnt always great but the quality and qauntity was top class! The road run into South Cerney on Saturday was great in the evening sunshine, and the fish and chips top quality! Thanks also to Rich for letting me follow Hawkes, on friday, what a beautiful engine! Roll On 2013

Just got back, engines safely in shed. What a fabulous three days! Met several TT'ers I hadn't met before and enjoyed the company of enginemen from the earliest days of rallying, some of whom had roaded Pedler with Sam Love and re-kindled memories by driving her again, magic! Thanks must go to Matt and his team for a wonderful weekend. South Cerney has to be among the best rallies in the country. Will try and post some photos later.

Great phots from all concerned and many thanks for sharing them with us. Just one observation, Late Westerns shot of Old Tim seems to have been taken from a very low angle, Ian were you drunk and lying down or were you sunbathing? I am surprised that it was sunny as the rain always seems to follow you!

Seriously, all of you have inspired me to try and attend South Cerney next year and in case you are wondering, the banter between myself and Late Western is always lighthearted as we use to work together over twenty years ago and I knew Ian's father and like a lot of other railwaymen had a lot of respect for him.

Cracking rally, roller worked quite well really for first time out. A few teething problems, but nothing too serious. Roaded 6 miles to the base and although we had a few issues, he went very well for the first time.

Massive thanks to Matt for all of his very hard work to put on such a show. Had a great time and a good laugh.

Cheers.

Douglas

Default Some more photos

As promised here are some of mine. On the field, and in the village:

Finally, some dodgy characters seen lurking around the backs of engines, they seem familiar, have they been on Crimewatch?
