The picture was taken in Debenham in Suffolk. The plate from what I can make out is Suffolk County Council 312.

No often you see a roller with a licence plate fitted. Somewhere I have a picture of an Essex County Council roller built in the 20"s fitted with one (and after the enamel licence plates were done away with). I have often wondered why...

So was a deal done on the roller after the sale they never let it sale for 30k did they

I would be very happy with both engines at the price. That's the best thing I like about auctions shows the true market price
